A. Regulatory requirements
- Product shall be free of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC’s).
Note to specifier: Delete 2 and 3 below if not applicable. - Product shall be USDA chemically acceptable as a coating for application to structural surfaces where there is a possibility of incidental food contact in establishments operating under the Federal Meat and Poultry Products Inspection Program.
- Product shall be approved for use by The Regulatory Enforcement and Animal Care (REAC) division of the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture approved for use in all animal clinics and in holding and shelter facilities.
B. Store products in original unopened containers until installation.

PART 3 EXECUTION
Coverage area 900 square feet.
3.1 INSTALLATION
- Prepare and apply as per manufacturer’s specifications.
- Clean surfaces to be treated removing impervious materials to allow sealer penetration.
- Hard troweled surfaces: Acid-etch or mechanically abrade to ensure proper product penetration.
- Apply sealer in accordance with manufacturer’s published application instructions for indicated project conditions.
- Do not apply sealer to surfaces below 40 degrees F (4 degrees C) or above 90 degrees F (32 degrees C) unless recommended by the manufacturer.
- Do not apply sealer when rain is predicted within 24 hours or less than 48 hours after surface has been wet.
- Follow manufacturer’s recommendations for applying sealer in windy conditions or direct sunlight exposure.
- Provide a warranty against failure due to incorrect application for a period of 10 years from the date of Substantial Completion.
- Provide the manufacturer's limited warranty against failure of sealer installation due to failure of sealer material for a period of 10 years from the date of Substantial Completion
